Quiet day, but did go up to Posina for highly recommended lunch at the local eating establishment. When we got there it transpired there were 3 eating places (in a place with 500 inhabitants!). Anyway we chose the Gasthaus Albergo (thought we must be back in Germany for a bit) and certainly seemed very popular. Everyone was there for the gnocchi... we ordered with ragu but the waitress ignored us and it was presented the same to all. Big bowl of gnocchi and a tray of 5 different sauces, ragu, tomato, tuna, meat and pesto.. I did wonder what she was talking about, misto, misto. The gnocchi was homemade just like Mrs C used to make and delicious.
Posina has an amazingly large church for such small town, one wonders where the money came from. It was extremely fancy inside and very well kept.
