Clocks

Wednesday 19th

The highlight of our BF tour was a visit to clock museum in Furrtwangen. It had a great display of clocks from the earliest examples, beautifully-carved long-case clocks, musical clocks, pocket watches - the most upmarket makers represented.

AND finally - a black forest cake for morning tea....  waves of nausea swept over me.  Funnily enough it was a dead ringer for the one we saw coming out of the box in the BF.....   probably from the same factory.

Stayed overnight in a hotel out of Buchenberg, Sommerau. There was a company teambuilding exercise going on, ala Telstra in the 19190's. We were watching their antics whle we had out beer in the Bier Garten. Frank asked me, did you have to play games as puerile as that?.... yes probably...   (thank god I can't remember) That night we decided to haveonly a .3 of a litre instead of the usual .5.  Aaah the barman said... We call that a "lady beer"in Germany!
