Long drive into Austria, made longer by closed roads which put the GPS into a flat spin. Settled on a Gasthaus in Werfen, close to both Hitler's Eagles Nest and the Ice cave on the itinerary. It was right up the mountainside, another goat track approach..a farm stay really, run by a lady with no english... luckily for us there was an Austrian chap also staying who gave us the rundown. Anyway very comfortable and I can almost picture Julie Andrews running down the hill.
Very steep walk down to dinner on the main road, downhill no problem, upwards always an issue, particularily after one of the hearty meals they serve up here ....plus beer and wine!
